winter produce

We rode our bikes out to Jay Hill Farm to purchase local/organic arugula, rainbow chard, and garlic. Yummmmm....

  1. Any suggestions for cooking rainbow chard? I've been trying to find a good recipe. I love rainbow chard, its so pretty.

  2. Hmm. I like simple. I will probably sautee the chard in olive oil with garlic and salt until its tender and eat the colorful greens with home fries or biscuits. Quiche or omelette also sound tempting. I haven't tried it yet, but you could make Barbara Kingsolver's "eggs in a nest" from Animal, Vegetable, Miracle.
